The Farthest Wave

I"ve been investing and trading in stocks for many years. During this time I have made and lost quite a bit of money. Due to some above-average pattern-matching skills and a competitive spirit I have learned a great deal and made what I believe are some interesting discoveries. "PuddleMarket Theory" is a term based on "Puddleglum", a name I use on a stock market discussion blog. It refers to my beliefs and observations about what the stock market is likely to do and what discernible characteristics one must examine or consider in order to determine whether to take any action (buy, sell, hold).

In order to make money from the stock market you need to understand what the stock market is and how it behaves. Just as importantly, however, you must understand yourself and your motivation for buying or selling securities. In this section I will discuss what the market is, why one might be interested in investing in or trading stocks, how human psychology factors into the equation, and the primary methods that are used when investing. Technical analysis of stocks is the primary focuse of my writings here.
In these writings about the stock market and various forms of investing I make no recommendations for any readers to take or not take any particular course of action regarding their financial assets. I am not offering tips of any sort.
